COVID Precautions @ 2022 Grad Night @ Ted Adcock Center

COVID-19 Prevention Strategies

Grad Night will be held indoors on June 2 from 10pm – 5am at the Ted Adcock Center. The Grad Night Committee is aware of COVID concerns, has reviewed the San Mateo COVID-19 Prevention Strategies and is taking the following measures to reduce the risk of students or volunteers transmitting COVID-19 during the event. Families should review these measures and their own circumstances to decide if Grad Night poses acceptable risks for their students regarding the potential for COVID-19 spread.

  • Masks – KF94, KN95 or N95 types – will be required. We will provide masks at the entrance if the student or volunteer does not have one.
  • Everyone entering will be asked to confirm they do not have COVID symptoms and have not tested positive for COVID in the past 14 days. We encourage self-testing at home.
  • Everyone entering will be temperature checked to confirm they do not have a fever.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available and required at games and other activities.
  • Ventilation will be increased by opening doors and windows wherever feasible. Fans and air purifiers will be in use around the center.
  • Eating and drinking will be consolidated to an outside food area.

COVID-19 Prevention Strategies for the County of San Mateo

“San Mateo County and the Bay Area region are seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases. With a greater presence of the disease in our community, it’s important to pay attention to protective measures like being current with vaccinations and boosters, getting tested if you have symptoms, wearing high-quality masks (like N95 or KN95), and increasing indoor ventilation – open windows and doors where possible and avoid indoor spaces with poor ventilation. The usual steps for protecting yourself and your community are more important now as cases are starting to rise. To view the current transmission level in San Mateo County please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Community Transmission Level tracker.”
